Trip Overview of Rolwaling Trek

Rolwaling Khumbu trek provides an experience the remoteness of this region, romantic mountain views, diverse flora and fauna, and rich local cultures. This trek requires a good walking experience and a good physical form. There is a technical route in Tashi Lepcha Pass. One should have peak climbing permit for this route. There is a Great nunnery Gompa called Bigu Gompa. There are more than 300 nuns. Two festivals are celebrated in a year in this place like manirimdu in Tengboche Gompa in Kumbu region. In Sherpa Language Biku means “Seed”. There is a Sherpa village.

View of Gaurishankar (7,145m), Melungtse (7,181m) and other mountains, a good landscapes; the village of Beding (3,690m) and monastery, the village of Na (4,183m), Tso Rolpa lake are the main attractions. Rolwalling trekking to Rollwaling Himal, west of Everest and near the Tibetan border, offers fascinating experience. starts in Barabise, passes Tinsang la pass and descends Bigu Gomba which houses Buddhist nuns.

  • DAY 1

    ARRIVE IN KATHMANDU

    When you arrive in Kathmandu, you'll be taken to your hotel. While in Kathmandu you will have time fascinating Buddhist and Hindu temples and shrines reflecting ancient local traditions are highlighted on our guided tour. There's time to explore the city's many charms on your own too. In the evening delicious traditional Nepali well come dinner await for you. O/N in Kathmandu. (Welcome-Dinner)

  • DAY 2

    KATHMANDU CITY TOUR

    After breakfast, we'll visit Swoyambhunath temple, and said to be 2000 years stupa on a hillock offers breath-taking view of Kathmandu City. We will then processed to Visit Pasupatinath and Bouddhanath. After lunch we'll visit Kathmandu Durbar Square, Patan (Lalitpur) - which is the oldest of the three major cities in Kathmandu Valley - famous for its Buddhist monuments and Hindu temples, and you can catch the traditional artisans working with wood, stones and metals.     KATHMANDU / BARABESI / GORTHALI (1750m)

    After breakfast drive to Barabise and drive to Gorthali. O/N in Gorthali at Tented Camp. (B/L/D)

  • DAY 4

    GORTHALI / DOLANGSA (2500m)

    Trek to Dolangsa. O/N in Dolangsa at Tented Camp. (B/L/D)

  • DAY 5

    DOLANGSA / RUPTAHANG (2310m)

  • DAY 6

    MANTHALA / CHATRE

  • DAY 17

    CHARTE / CHARIKOT / KATHMANDU

  • DAY 18

    DEPARTURE
