Trekking in Ganesh himal not frequented by many tourists and situated in central Nepal, northwest of Kathmandu The terraced hillsides seem to climb to the sky. Many interesting ethnic groups a mixed of lifestyle offer you a glimpse into real Nepali life and this gives visitors an opportunity to observe the rich Nepalese cultural tradition from the closest quarter and intermingle with locals, hence giving the visitor a sense of satisfaction. Gorkha is situated on a hill overlooking the snowy peaks of the Himalaya is a beautiful old ancient place. There are two attractive temples of Gorakhanath and Kali inside the place precinct.

Besides its, the area also offer you, an excellent habitat for a wide variety of plants and animals; 526 species of plants (including 40 species of orchids), and 300 species of birds. Other interesting wild animals are the Himalayan thar, gaur, many kinds of monkeys and musk deer. There are interesting panoramic views destination points are called Singala pass, Dharka, Jasail Kunda, Jyamrung, Kasigaun,Khanchok and Gorkha offer you more than 35 mountains over 6000meters(19’680ft) above sea level. Ganesh Himal Nepal Trekking can be organize only camping (Tented Camp). On a camping trek you will sleep in tents.

On all of our treks a bathroom tent is provided as well as a dining tent with tables and camp stools, providing a cozy, comfortable atmosphere to eat and chat with fellow trekkers during the evening. Our well – trained and experienced cook, and assistant prepare a variety of healthy, hygienic and clean food which is carried for the entire trek.

Detail itinerary of Ganesh Himal Trekking

  • DAY 1

    ARRIVE IN KATHMANDU

    When you arrive in Kathmandu, you'll be taken to your hotel. While in Kathmandu you will have time fascinating Buddhist and Hindu temples and shrines reflecting ancient local traditions are highlighted on our guided tour. There's time to explore the city's many charms on your own too. In the evening delicious traditional Nepali well come dinner await for you. O/N in Kathmandu. (Welcome-Dinner)

  • DAY 2

    KATHMANDU CITY TOUR

    After breakfast, we'll visit Swoyambhunath temple, and said to be 2000 years stupa on a hillock offers breath-taking view of Kathmandu City. We will then processed to Visit Pasupatinath and Bouddhanath. After lunch we'll visit Kathmandu Durbar Square, Patan (Lalitpur) - which is the oldest of the three major cities in Kathmandu Valley - famous for its Buddhist monuments and Hindu temples, and you can catch the traditional artisans working with wood, stones and metals.   • DAY 3

    TRISHULI / SALANGKHU KHOLA

    We drive to Trisuli in the morning and have lunch near the Trisuli Electricity dam. After lunch we walk for about 3 hours to Salangkhu Khola and camp. O/N in Salangkhu Khola at Tented Camp. (B/L/D)

  • DAY 4

    SALANGKHU KHOLA / BALCHE VILLAGE

    An easy walk and then a short climb takes us to Kalawale village for lunch. After lunch we proceed to the big Tamang village of Balche for our overnight camp. O/N in Balche Village at Tented Camp. (B/L/D)

  • DAY 5

    BALCHE VILLAGE / GONGA

    We take an easy walk from Balche village through a forest and camp with the peaks of Langtang Lirung and Gosainkunda in good view. O/N in Gonga at Tented Camp. (B/L/D)

  • DAY 6

    GONGA / SINGLA

    We walk through rhododendron forests this day to camp at Singla or Rupchet. Rupchet is a cattle pasture and Singla is the pass. The Singla pass offers spectacular views of Langtang Lirung, Ganesh Himal, Baudha Peak, Himal Chuli, Machhapuchhre, South Annapurna and Annapurna II. O/N in Singla at Tented Camp. (B/L/D)

  • DAY 7

    REST DAY AT SINGLA (4,600 mt.)

  • DAY 8

    SINGLA / PANGSANG

    We walk up the Singla hill following small trails to Pangsung for our overnight camp. The view from here is spectacular. O/N in Pangsang at Tented Camp. (B/L/D)

  • DAY 9

    PANGSANG / SHOMTHANG

    We follow the ridge for our campsite of the day, Shomthang. This gives us a close up view of Ganesh Himal. O/N in Shomthang at Tented Camp. (B/L/D)

  • DAY 10

    SHOMTHANG / JOGESHWARKUND LAKE

    Now undertake a gradual climb for the day to reach our campsite at jogeshwarkund Lake. (Sometimes Shomthang to Jogeshwarkund Lake is not possible due to army training). O/N in Jogeswarkund Lake at Tented Camp. (B/L/D)

  • DAY 11

    REST DAY AT JOGESHWARKUNDA LAKE

    People interested can do rock and peak climbing above 5000m. today. O/N in Jogeshwarkund Lake at Tented Camp. (B/L/D)

  • DAY 12

    JOGESWARKUNDA LAKE / LINJU KHOLA

    Today we start our descent to Linju Khola for our next camp. O/N in Linju Khola at Tented Camp. (B/L/D)

  • DAY 13

    LINJU KHOLA / SERTUNG VILLAGE

    We walk down through pine and rhododendron forests to Shertung village and set up camp with a good views of mountains all around. Shertung is a Tamang cultural village. O/N in Sertung Village at Tented Camp. (B/L/D)

  • DAY 14

    SERTUNG VILLAGE / LABA

    A short flat trail and then a gradual descent passing through Borang village followed by crossing the Akhu Khola takes us to Laba, a big Tamang village. O/N in Laba at Tented Camp. (B/L/D)

  • DAY 15

    LABA / MONGEYTHANTI

    A slight climb to cross a hill and then descend through forests to camp at Mongeythanti. O/N in Mongeythanti at Tented Camp. (B/L/D)

  • DAY 16

    MONGEYTHANTI / DUNCHET VILLAGE

    A gradual walk down through forests with lunch by a stream brings us to our camp at Dumchet village. O/N in Dunchet Village at Tented Camp. (B/L/D)

  • DAY 17

    DUNCHET VILLAGE / BUDIGANDAKI

    We take a gradual walk today to Baseri and camp near the Budigandaki river. O/N in Budgandaki at Tented Camp. (B/L/D)

  • DAY 18

    BUDIGANDAKI / AROGHAT BAZAAR

    We walk along the bank of Budhigandaki river and stop at Arughat Bazaar for the night. There are tea shops and a police station here. O/N in Aroghat Bazaar at Tented Camp. (B/L/D)

  • DAY 19

    ARUGHAT BAZAAR / KHANCHOWK DANDA

    We gradually climb the Khanchowk Danda crossing the Mukti khola and camp for the night. O/N in Khanchowk Danda at Tented Camp. (B/L/D)

  • DAY 20

    KHANCHOWK DANDA / GORKHA

    We cross a ridge today and walk gradually up hill to Gorkha, camping near the old palace. O/N in Gorkha at Tented Camp. (B/L/D)

  • DAY 21

    GORKHA / KATHMANDU

    We have a sight - seeing tour of Gorkha Palace, the palace of the King Prithivi Narayan Shah who united Nepal in 1881 AD and visit the Bazaar and then drive back to Kathmandu. O/N in Kathmandu. (B/L/D)

  • DAY 22-23

    FREE DAY IN KATHMANDU

    After breakfast you're free in Kathmandu as your own in Kathmandu. O/N in Kathmandu. (B/L/D)

  • DAY 24

    DEPARTURE

    After breakfast, you're free as your own before drop to airport for your final destination. (B)
