The Ganesh Himal is named after the elephant-headed God of Good Fortune. The Ganesh Range Peaks (Ganesh I, Ganesh II, Ganesh III, Ganesh IV) stand out like crystal that is the “Great Himalayan Chain” forming the skyline. This great Himalayan massif is contained between the valley of the Buri Gandaki in the west and Bhote Koshi in the east, which becomes Trishuli River in the lower section. Experience the trekking area which lies on the central eastern region of Nepal still lucky to remain untouched by modern world. You are trekking in different part of world getting in contact with local people, unspoiled nature, widely cultural and traditions barrier, massive mountain close enough to touch. Getting at the height of 4100m pass leaving the clouds under you and greeting the massive mountains over 8000m, would not that be amazing.

The first glimpse of Ganesh Himal greets us, when we go crossing over the hills and leave Kathmandu behind. After 5 hours bus ride we arrive at the trek starting point called Sole Bazaar (town) where we spend the first night of our outdoor adventure right nearby the river. Our Guide gives a short lesson of trekking on the first night explaining about the altitude sickness and all the beautiful spots from where you can see an excellent view of mountains.

Observe the different ways of inhabitation, and come in contact with different people following various caste, creed and culture, and thereby pass through the dense forest and meadows, crossing through high highlander pass (4100m), which offers an excellent view of the massif Ganesh Himal (7406m), Langtang (7300m), Annapurna (8091m), fishtail(6990m), manaslu (8163m), Lamjung (6800m) and many more are the day to day activities of the trek. The unusual climatic and geographical mix make this area a naturalist`s dream and a Mecca.

  • DAY 1

    ARRIVE IN KATHMANDU

    When you arrive in Kathmandu, you'll be taken to your hotel. While in Kathmandu you will have time fascinating Buddhist and Hindu temples and shrines reflecting ancient local traditions are highlighted on our guided tour. There's time to explore the city's many charms on your own too. In the evening delicious traditional Nepali well come dinner await for you. O/N in Kathmandu. (Welcome-Dinner)

  • DAY 2

    KATHMANDU CITY TOUR

    After breakfast, we'll visit Swoyambhunath temple, and said to be 2000 years stupa on a hillock offers breath-taking view of Kathmandu City. We will then processed to Visit Pasupatinath and Bouddhanath. After lunch we'll visit Kathmandu Durbar Square, Patan (Lalitpur) - which is the oldest of the three major cities in Kathmandu Valley - famous for its Buddhist monuments and Hindu temples, and you can catch the traditional artisans working with wood, stones and metals.   • DAY 3

    KATHMANDU / DHADING / SANKOSH

    Three and half hour drive to Dhading and start trek. Walk through the village to the ridge of Sankosh in about 2 hours. The lovely views of Ganesh Himal, Manaslu and Annapurna in the distance. O/N in Sankosh at Tented Camp. (B/L/D)

  • DAY 4

    SANKOSH / LAPANG

    3 hours ascend through the pine forest on the top of Keraunja and descend through the villages to Lapang at the Aankhu riverside. O/N in Lapang at Tented Camp (B/L/D)

  • DAY 5

    LAPANG / DARKHA

    3 hours walk through the Aankhu river side and start ascent to Darkha for about 2 hours. O/N in Darkha at Tented Camp. (B/L/D)

  • DAY 6

    DARKHA / JHARLANG

    After one hour a falter walk through the Tamang village and descend to Daundare Khola. Ascend for another two hours to Jharlang. Walk through the villages and cross the big landslide. O/N in Jharlang at Tented Camp. (B/L/D)

  • DAY 7

    JHARLANG / SHERTUNG

    Gradual ascent through forest and cross a few suspension bridges with good views of Ganesh Himal. O/N in Shertung at Tented Camp. (B/L/D)

  • DAY 8

    SHERTUNG / SINGALA BASE CAMP

    Gradual ascent through the rhododendron and pine forest. Arrive Singla base camp. Overnight camping. O/N in Singla Base Camp at Tented Camp. (B/L/D)

  • DAY 9

    SINGLA BASE CAMP / SING LA / RUPCHE KHARKA

    Ascend through the grassy land and rugged trail to cross the pass and descend to Rupche Kharka for O/N camping. The view from Sing La is the highlight of this trek. The views from here, Annapurna from the west, Manaslu, Ganesh Himal, Langtang, few Chinese peaks and Dorjelakpa, Shisapangma and Jugal Himal in the west is fantastic.   • DAY 9

    RUPCHE KHARKA / BHALCHE

    Descend through the pine forest and rhododendron forest. Arrive Bhalche the first village from Shertung for O/N Bhalche at Tented Camp. (B/L/D)

  • DAY 10

    BHALCHE / BETRAWATI / KATHMANDU

    Descend through some villages, millet and rice fields to Betrawati. Arrive Betrawati and drive to Kathmandu, about 5 hours. O/N in Kathmandu. (B/L/D)

  • DAY 11

    KATHMANDU / RAFTING / CHITWAN NATIONAL PARK

    After breakfast scenic drive to Chitwan, on the road that follow the Trisuli River for the most of the distance. Along the drive you see beautiful scenery, we'll continue our journey to till rafting spot point. We've Rafting on the Trisuli River. Trisuli River. This River is very popular as access to the Prithivi Highway makes "breaking off" the journey easy. Trisuli is also an ideal beginner's River . After few hours rafting drive to Chitwan National Park upon arrival, rooms assigned and there will be a short briefing on the program and our facilities. 4:00 PM: Elephant-back safari: Guests will ride on an elephant to explore the jungle and wildlife you will be able to see the one-horned rhinoceros, several types of deer, monkeys, wild boar, bison, sloth bear, leopard and, if lucky, the Royal Bengal tiger. This exciting ride lasts for 2-3 hours. 7:00 PM: Dinner in the central dining hall. O/N in Chitwan. (B/L/D)

  • DAY 12

    CHITWAN NATIONAL PARK

    5:30 AM: Wake-up call followed by tea or coffee, then proceed on a Nature Walk. This encounter on foot with the environment will introduce the main features of eastern Chitwan. Sal forest, open grassland and reverie jungle. Our guides will help you identify some species of birds, plants and other wildlife that you may encounter. 8:30 AM: Breakfast 9:30 AM: Elephant briefing program: Learn more about these fascinating animals during a visit to our elephant stable. (For the brave ones there is even a crash course in riding and leading the elephants) 1.00 PM: LUNCH. After lunch , Canoeing : A traditional dug-out canoe takes you on a silent trip down the Rapti river to view aquatic birds and the animals of the river banks. Back to resort through the Jungle. 7:00 PM: Tharu Stick dance: Farmers of the nearby villages will show some of their traditional skills and dances. 8:00 PM: Dinner around the campfire.   • DAY 13

    CHITWAN NATIONAL PARK /KATHMANDU

    5.30 AM: Bird Watching (or another elephant ride) after early morning tea/coffee. 8.00 AM: Breakfast 9.00 AM: Luggage down and departure at 9.39 AM. to Kathmandu. The actual program for your stay, will be given to you on arrival at Resort / camp. The activities are adjusted to the season and weather conditions. Naturally, it may not always be possible to follow this schedule to the minute and the circumstances may force us to alter the program at short notice. On safari in the jungle you will be accompanied by expert naturalists who will advise on safety procedures and we request you to respect their judgement at all times. If you wish to stroll in the forest alone, a guide will have to accompany you for your safety. O/N in Kathmandu (B/L/D)
