DAY 01: ARRIVE IN KATHMANDU
Arrival in Kathmandu International Airport. You will be transferred to hotel.
DAY 02: KATHMANDU / POKHARA
Drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara (200 km- approximately 7 hrs). You can fly from Kathmandu to Pokhara (approximately 25 minutes). You will prepare yourself for your ABC (Annapurna Base Camp) Trekking in the evening.
DAY 03: POKHARA/ TIKHEDHUNGA (1491 m)
Drive to Nayapul (42 km- approximately 1.5 hr) by Car. Trek from Nayapul (1050 m) to Birethanti (1065 m), a large and prosperous town. Trek to Tikhedhunga via Hile (1495 m).
DAY 04: TIKHEDHUNGA / GHOREPANI (2855 m)
From Tikhedhunga, trail
ascends towards Ulleri (2070 m), a large Magar village. Crossing the cultivated fields and jungle of magnificent
rhododendron we will climb Nangethanti. After one hour trek from
Nangethati we will climb to Ghorepani (2850 m).
DAY 05 GHOREPANI / POON HILL / TADAPANI (2540 m)
We will climb Poon
Hill (3195 m) and view majestic beauty of sunrise over the high Himalayas. A
lot of snowy mountains and peaks including Dhaulagiri, Annapurna I,
Machhapuchhre, Himchuli, Lamjung Himal and Annapurna South can be seen from
Poon Hill. Crossing Deurali (2960 m) and Banthanti, the expedition moves
towards Tadapani (2540 m).
DAY 06: TADAPANI / CHHOMRUNG
We will trek from Tadapani and continue till Chhomrung, a Hurung Village, comes. It takes approximately four hours to reach Chhomrung from Tadapani. We can see vivid scene of Annapurna South and Machhapuchhre from there.
DAY 07: CHHOMRUNG / DOVAN
From Chhomrung the trail descends and cross the Chhomrung khola. Climbing high above the Modi Khola on its west banks, the trails pass through forest of bamboo, rhododendron and oak and reaches Sinuwa (2250 m) following Bamboo. Its take approximately 1.5 hour to reach Dovan.
DAY 08: DOVAN / ANNAPURNA BASE CAMP
From Dovan the trail is muddy and high above the river. Our destination is Annapurna Base Camp (4170) and it takes approximately 5 hrs to reach there. We will climb Machhapuchhre Base Camp (2820 m) and continue towards Annapurna Base Camp. You can view spectacular landscape of various mountains from the Annapurna Sanctuary.
DAY 09: ANNAPURNA BASE CAMP / BAMBOO
Exploring the real picture of Annapurna Base Camp, it is time to return back to Bamboo. It takes around six hours to reach Annapurna Base Camp.
DAY 10: BAMBOO / CHHOMRUNG
From Bamboo, we will start the expedition to Kuldi (2300 m) viewing the forest of rhododendrons. After taking lunch in Sinuwa, we will trek to Chhomrung crossing the Modi River. The trail is downhill till Modi Khola.
DAY 11: CHHOMRUNG / GHANDRUNG
The trail follows the route back to the Kummu Valley from Chhomrung. Then the trails descend towards Ghandrung (1940 m), the second largest Gurung village in Nepal. Machhapuchhare can be seen in its fishtail aspect from here.
DAY 12: GHANDRUNG / POKHARA
Along the way to Sauli Bazar from Ghandrung, you can see good views of Annapurna South and Machhapuchhare. The trails follow the Modi River till Nayapul from Sauli Bazaar. After lunch and hiking around Birethati, we will drive for Pohara. The remaining time is for visiting Pokhara valley. Some places are Fewa Lake, Begnas Lake, David Falls, Mahendra Cave and Mountaineering Museum, including Buddhist and Hindu Temples and shrines.
DAY 13: POKHARA / KATHMANDU
Drive from Pokhara to Kathmandu. You can fly from Kathmandu to Pokhara (approximately 25 minutes). You are free for shopping and pick up some last minute souvenirs.
DAY 14: DEPARTURE
You will be transferred to Tribhuvan International Airport. Final departure to your destination
